Ingredients

Avocado
  • 2 pieces ripe avocados Choose avocados that are slightly soft to the touch for easy mashing.
  • 4 slices bacon Crispy bacon adds a savory crunch that complements the creamy avocado.
  • 4 large eggs Eggs are a great source of protein and can be cooked to your liking.
  • 4 slices whole grain bread Whole grain bread provides fiber and a hearty base for your toast.
  • to taste salt A pinch of salt enhances the flavors of the dish.
  • to taste black pepper Freshly cracked black pepper adds a nice kick.
  • to taste red pepper flakes For those who enjoy a bit of heat, red pepper flakes can be sprinkled on top.
  • to taste fresh chives or parsley, chopped These herbs make a lovely garnish and add freshness.

Equipment

  • skillet
  • toaster

Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop. Make sure your avocados are ripe; they should yield slightly when you press them. Wash the fresh herbs and chop them finely. Get your bacon and eggs ready.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook for 6-8 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
  3. In the same skillet, crack the eggs gently. Cook for 3-4 minutes until they reach your desired doneness. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Mash the ripe avocados in a bowl and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Spread the mashed avocado on each slice of toasted bread, top with bacon and a cooked egg, and garnish with chopped chives or parsley.
