  • 1/4 cup ketchup Adds sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard Adds zesty kick.
  • 8 ounces cooked pasta (elbow or shell) Base of the casserole.

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and yellow mustard to create the special sauce.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, beef mixture, chopped pickles, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Add the special sauce and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread evenly, and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
