Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients and ensure you have everything ready.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  3. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese and sliced pepperoni to the dry mixture and stir gently.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and olive oil, then pour into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Lightly flour a clean surface and turn the dough out onto it. Knead gently for about 1 minute until smooth.
  6. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick and cut into 3-inch squares.
  7. Place a small spoonful of marinara sauce in the center of each square, fold corners over to create a pocket, and pinch edges to seal.
  8. Place the rolls on a lined baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with dried parsley if desired.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
