Ingredients
  

Apples
  • 3 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • to taste cooking spray

Method
 

  1. Wash and peel the apples, then cut them into thin wedges about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with granulated sugar.
  3. Dip each apple wedge in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the panko mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the coated apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, lightly spray with cooking spray, and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and drizzle with melted butter before serving.
