  • 1/4 cup pure honey Adds sweetness and helps create a sticky glaze.
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Choose a brand that you love for the best flavor.
  • 2 cloves minced garlic Fresh garlic adds a wonderful aroma and taste.
  • 1 cup uncooked white or brown rice This will serve as the base for your dish.
  • 2 cups chicken broth or water Chicken broth adds extra flavor!
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional) Like bell peppers, broccoli, or corn.
  • to taste salt and pepper Enhance the overall flavor.

Method
 

  1. Marinate the chicken by combining honey, BBQ sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl. Coat the chicken and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the marinated chicken in a skillet over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Prepare the rice by rinsing it under cold water, then cooking it in a saucepan with chicken broth or water until tender.
  4. Combine the cooked rice and sliced chicken in a serving bowl, adding any remaining marinade and optional vegetables. Toss gently to mix.
