  • 8 ounces cream cheese Softened for mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or Monterey Jack recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds depth to taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Essential for seasoning.
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper Adds a little kick.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Keeps chicken moist while baking.
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro Optional, for garnish.

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts, then slice them in half horizontally.
  2. Prepare the jalapeños by slicing them in half lengthwise, removing seeds for milder flavor if desired, then chop them into small pieces.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth, then fold in chopped jalapeños.
  4. In a baking dish, drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Spread the jalapeño cream cheese mixture on top of each chicken breast and place them in the dish.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken, drizzle with remaining olive oil, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
