  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Balances sweetness.

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil, then sauté diced onion and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add ground chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Prepare bell peppers by cutting the tops off and removing seeds and membranes. Place them upright in a baking dish.
  4. Mix cooked rice, teriyaki sauce, black pepper, and salt into the chicken mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stuff the bell peppers with the chicken mixture, packing it down slightly.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Let the stuffed peppers cool for a few minutes before serving.
